CompuSol was founded in 1987 by Christie R. Thornton who now serves as CEO and is the majority owner of CompuSol, Inc. Ms. Thornton is a 1984 graduate of Baylor University where she received a BBA degree with a triple major in Marketing, Business Information Systems and Administrative Information Systems as well as a teacher’s certification. Ms. Thornton has lived and worked in the Fort Worth area for most of her life. She has provided consulting support for Texas Instruments, American Airlines, Transport Life Insurance Company and Aegon Insurance to name a few.
In 1997 Ms. Thornton was joined by Kevin K. McCann. Mr. McCann received an undergraduate degree in Computer Information Systems in 1982 and an MBA in 1987, both from Southwest Texas State University. Mr. McCann worked for General Dynamics (now Lockheed Martin Corporation) for over 13 years in ever increasing areas of responsibility with a primary focus on Information Technology Solutions.
Throughout 1997 business plans were developed and financing for the next phase of incorporation began. In January of 1998 CompuSol incorporated and began its initial growth phase through its support of the Mr. Payroll/Cash America International project. Throughout the year, additional Clients were added including NEC, UPR, and Sabre Decision Technologies. Currently, CompuSol also provides technology support to IBM Global Services, GTE Directories (Verizon), Legend Airlines, Republic Insurance as well as several smaller businesses in the Fort Worth area.
